Front Yard Garden Bed Cleanup and Fresh Plant Installation

Here's what we were working with - overgrown shrubs, dead foliage, weeds taking over the beds, and plants that had simply run their course. It's one of the most common things we see. The bones of the yard were solid, but the beds were dragging the whole front of the house down.

We pulled out the old plants and started fresh. New azaleas went in along the foundation, paired with variegated liriope tucked in between to add contrast and texture. Both are solid choices for low-maintenance, high-impact curb appeal. The azaleas bring color, and the liriope gives the bed that clean, layered look that holds up season after season.

Fresh soil and a top dressing of mulch went in across the entire bed. That part matters more than people think. Good soil prep gives new plants the best shot at establishing strong roots, and fresh mulch locks in moisture while keeping weeds from coming right back. It also just makes everything look sharp and finished.

The difference is night and day. What was once a cluttered, tired-looking front yard is now a clean, well-planted bed with real color and structure. The beds run the full length of the front of the house, and with everything tidied up and planted intentionally, the whole property looks pulled together.
