Some front yards just need one focused change to pull everything together. That's exactly what we were working with here - a grassy strip running along the front of the house that had no real definition. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't doing anything for the home's appearance.

We cleared the area and built it out as a proper garden bed from scratch. Fresh topsoil went down first to give the new plants a solid foundation. Then we planted a mix of agapanthus and foxtails - plants that hold their shape, stay manageable, and look good without constant attention. Cypress mulch was laid in to finish the bed, lock in moisture, and give that clean, rich look that ties everything together.

The difference between before and after is pretty clear. What used to be a flat stretch of mixed grass is now a structured bed with real visual interest. The plants are spaced well, the mulch coverage is even, and the whole front entry reads as intentional and put-together.

This is the kind of landscaping work that makes sense on a practical level too. A well-planted bed with quality mulch means less weeding, less watering, and less messing around trying to edge grass that keeps creeping where it shouldn't. Lower maintenance is built into the design.

Small upgrades like this are often the most impactful. You don't need a massive overhaul to get a front yard that looks sharp and welcoming - sometimes you just need the right plants, good soil, and someone who knows how to put it all together.
